Many of these common questions and concerns are as follows:
Question #1: If the List Opt program gives the option to capture last name, should it be kept on file? Marketers donÂ’t need a last name when capturing personal information because a first name makes messages more personal. A last name is only necessary when customers want to make a purchase. Marketers should keep info on file as long as they need to send something to their customers.

Question #5: How can marketers avoid adding bad email addresses on their customer list? One option is to block emails from certain domains in List Opt and World Wide List. For example, they can specify that hotmail addresses that try to sign up through their World Wide List program will automatically be rejected. Plus, they can not control people who just want to view the website content, but don't actually want to be on their list, as they will put in fake emails.
Question #6: Is there a tool to automate the editing of an email list? They have to go through their email list manually. They should hire someone to do this if they don't have time; they should clean up their list once a month or once every six months.
Question #7: What is a good deliverability rate? Anywhere in the 90's for the deliverability rate is very good. Anyone that claims a 99% deliverability rate is full of baloney. This is impossible because people make up email addresses, use fake accounts, etc. Nobody can guarantee a 99% deliverability rates.
