Beauty By Earth Announces Launch Of Mineral Sunscreen

(Medical-NewsWire.com, August 06, 2014 ) Frisco, TX -- Frisco, TX based company Beauty by Earth announces the launch of a completely natural SPF 25 Sunscreen that gives full UVA and UVB protection.

Beauty by Earth's sunscreen was formulated by one of the company's Co-Founders along with a chemist in a Florida based lab. It was formulated to be a physical sun block that contained nothing toxic and with active ingredients of only non-nano zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. The inactive ingredients are over 80% certified organic and the company was sure to include argan oil in the ingredients.

In addition to protecting the skin from sun damage, this sun block contains moisturizing ingredients such as aloe vera, jojoba oil, argan oil, coconut oil, shea butter, cucumber extract and green tea extract.

They were set on ensuring that this sun block was good for the whole family as well as eco-friendly, biodegradable and reef safe. It was also formulated for the whole family. It is safe enough for kids while still being effective enough for people into sports.

Mrs, Danielle Greve, Director of PR and Marketing at Beauty by Earth commented:

"This product was released right in time for Summer. While it is a seasonal product, it will be available year round in the Amazon Marketplace for those travelling to beach locations such as the Caribbean and Mexico. This sunscreen is an exciting addition to Beauty by Earth's growing product selection."

A product launch promo code (BBE4SUMR) is available through August 10th for the product on Amazon.com.

What is the difference between physical and chemical sunscreen?

Chemical sunscreens either absorb or scatter UV rays. Physical (or Mineral) Sun Blocks coat the skin and cause the UV rays to be reflected off of the skin. Mineral sunscreen's active ingredients do not absorb into the skin at all.

Chemical suncreens use chemicals such as Octylcrylene, Avobenzone, Octinoxate, Octisalate, OxyBenzone and Helioplex. These chemicals either absorb or scatter the UV rays your skin is exposed to. There is growing concern that these chemical used in sunscreen can generate free radical damage, and some are even thought to cause endocrine disruption, which means they're messing with the body's hormones.

Physical or Mineral sunscreen's use either Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide or both. It is important when purchasing a physical sunscreen that the zinc oxide is non-nano.

While the choice is always up to the consumer, more and more people are becoming educated on the subject and are making healthier decisions for their families.
