(EMAILWIRE.COM, October 01, 2010 ) Milwaukee, WI - With a whole month dedicated to raising awareness,
bullying will be on the public radar during October.
And frankly, too much attention will be devoted
to the problem, says Dr. George Thompson of the Verbal Judo Institute.
"I'm here to ask that you give some attention to
the solution," he said.
"Every single person who has a child or once was
a child themselves understands the problem. (And
they understand that bullying can continue to plague
adults, too.)," he said.
"And to an extent, people understand understand
the remedy: bullying needs to come out in the open,
and people need to be held accountable.
"But surely as the
recent episode with the dad on the bus has proven,
parents also need to know exactly how to address
the issue."
The Verbal Judo Institute, in partnership with the Vistelar
Training Group, has created:
  * A significant online resource center
  * A training program for educators
  * And, most notably, a step-by-step
program for parents that provides clear and proven
procedures to make the bullying stop.
"Sadly, while there is much public dialog focusing on the
problem, ours are among the very few voices that offer
strategies to fix, mend and make a difference," Thompson said.
