Avaulta Mesh Class Action Lawsuit an Option for Women Suffering From Mesh Side Effects

(EMAILWIRE.COM, February 12, 2011 ) New York, NY – Women who have experienced Avaulta mesh problems, such as mesh erosion and pain, may be able to participate in an Avaulta class action lawsuit to recover financial compensation. Several Avaulta mesh lawsuits have already been filed, and women who have developed complications after being implanted with an Avaulta mesh to treat pelvic organ prolapse, may be able to file a claim for medical bills and other damages. To find out if you have legal recourse for your Avaulta mesh side effects, visit http://www.classaction.org/avaulta-transvaginal-mesh.html and complete the free case evaluation form.

In late 2008, the FDA released a public health notification to alert women of the potential complications of transvaginal mesh systems used for stress urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse repair. According to the notice, the FDA received, over a three-year period, more than 1000 complaints of vaginal mesh complications from nine separate manufacturers, including C.R. Bard which makes the Avaulta Solo, Avaulta Plus and Avaulta Biosynthetic. Reported vaginal sling problems, including Bard Avaulta mesh side effects, included the following: mesh erosion; urinary problems; recurrence of pelvic organ prolapse or incontinence; mesh infection; pain; and bladder, bowel and blood vessel perforation during insertion. In some instances, mesh erosion and vaginal scarring caused discomfort and pain, including pain during sex, which led to a subsequent decrease in the patientÂ’s quality of life.

Women who have experienced Avaulta mesh side effects may require surgery to remove the mesh or other medical care to treat their vaginal sling complications. Women who elect to participate in an Avaulta mesh class action lawsuit may be able to recover the cost of these treatments, as well as compensation for lost wages, pain and suffering and other losses resulting from their Avaulta mesh problems.
