(EMAILWIRE.COM, February 27, 2007 ) Barbara Eden will be honored by the Center for Healthy Aging with its coveted Golden Glow Award Saturday evening, March 10, at a gala awards dinner being held at the Skirball Cultural Center in West Los Angeles. Eden joins previous Golden Glow Award winners Sidney Poitier, Carl and Estelle Reiner, Karl Malden, Art and Lois Linkletter, and Leave it to Beaver’s Jerry Mathers. The prestigious award is presented to individuals with high profile careers, who selflessly “give back” to the global community by using their time, talent and celebrity for charitable organizations. Eden has worked tirelessly through the years on behalf of such worthy charities as the Wellness Community, the American Cancer Society, Make-a-Wish Foundation, March of Dimes, the USO, American Heart Association, Save the Children and Childhelp USA. The actress is best known for her classic long-running NBC Television Network hit series I Dream of Jeannie, which still airs worldwide in syndication and on cable. She is now touring with Hal Linden (Barney Miller) in the romantic two-actor stage play Love Letters. Barbara is also working closely with Sony Home Entertainment to promote the new third season of her I Dream of Jeannie series and is currently developing a TV series with Sony. Also, the TV icon recently filmed a guest-starring role on the ABC Television Network’s George Lopez show, scheduled to air in early April, during the Jeannie DVD release.
