Those Other Movies, a non-profit organization and active participant in the Toronto International Film Festival’s Film Circuit Group, will be hosting the Haliburton International Film Festival on October 19, 20, 21, 2007. A total of 8 world-class international films will be screened at the historic Molou Theatre in Haliburton Village over the course of its 3-day run. The festival will begin Friday, October 19th with the 7:00 PM screening of the Canadian film, “Who Loves the Sun.” Some of the films scheduled for the film festival weekend are, La Vie En Rose, Fido, Volver, and Rabbit Proof Fence.“The community’s response to the film festival has been truly gratifying,” states Tammy Rea, a Those Other Movies committee member and president of Highlands Media Art. “Thirteen area businesses have demonstrated their support by being film festival sponsors.
