(Medical-NewsWire.com, June 13, 2013 ) Dothan, AL – An educational and entertaining conference for people living with disabilities in the Mid-Atlantic region will be held August 23-26 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The Living Well With A Disability Conference & Expo is presented by Living Well With A Disability, the Pennsylvania Statewide Independent Living Council and the Three Rivers Center for Independent Living. Over 1500 attendees are expected.
According to Living Well With A Disability, a variety of topics will be covered during the conference including nutrition, education, employment, dating and intimacy, parenting and relationships, sports and fitness, technology, finances and wealth and much more. Many of these sessions will be led by people with disabilities who have learned to overcome and adapt such as Christine Ha, who, despite permanent vision loss, is an author and winner of “Master Chef” season 3 and comedian and cerebral palsy patient Josh Blue, winner of NBC’s “Last Comic Standing.”
Over 100 exhibitors will be displaying products and services to make life easier during the Expo which will be held August 24 and 25. Legal services, lifts and elevators, adaptive sports organizations, daily living aids, assistive technologies, non-profit organizations, low vision products, home medical equipment, travel services, therapy and various agencies are only a small number of the categories that will be represented.
