Being hydrated is actually a delicate balance of fluid and electrolytes. Too much or too little of either, or both, can spell trouble. The obvious solution to dehydration is to drink water. But remember not to drink too much at once because that can be just as dangerous as not having enough. Sports drinks can help replenish electrolytes, but use them in addition to water, not in place of it. And stay away from the energy drinks and too much coffee. The amount of sugar and caffeine in them only contribute to dehydration, not help it.
