Owner and lead physiotherapist Katharine Scullard says, "We've had great interest in sports massage in Reading for quite some time but just couldn't find the right therapist. When we saw Stevie in action we knew we had to bring her on board."
Stevie Oldfield, One Physiotherapy's new resident massage therapist, was trained at the renowned London School of Sports Massage in several different disciplines. She offers traditional Swedish massage but also the more vigorous sports massage that athletes require.
Oldfield goes on to say, "Even though I've had my own client base for a while I've been looking to base myself at a proper clinic so when Katharine asked me to join the team at One Physiotherapy I was delighted. The facilities at the clinic in the Madejski Stadium are really modern and I'm looking forward to working there."
Sports massage is becoming more popular with athletes and regular exercisers alike. More and more studies are coming out to show the benefits both on performance and injury prevention from having a regular sports massage.
