Between the first of August and thirty first of August sales overshot what they had anticipated by nearly twenty percent which has left Newgen Naturals looking at adjusted figures for the coming months.
A spokesman for Newgen Naturals has been quoted as saying, "Although we are stunned by the the overall positive reception DermElast has received, it has left us in a position where demand may well out strip supply. This is something we hadn't really factored in to our business plan. Don't get me wrong it's a good bit of bad news to have to deal with."
Newgen understand that using Amazon as a platform to launch a new product to the market comes with additional risk which is out of any sellers hands. Amazon works in a way the rewards sellers who bring products to market that sell. After all Amazon make money from sellers who list on their platform.
Sellers can be penalized by amazon for many different reason which could effect the sales of an individual seller. Newgen are well aware that if they run low or even out of stock it will have an impact on their rankings within Amazon which they have worked hard to build up during launch.
Chris Elm CEO of Newgen says, "Because we have underestimated our initial forecast we have increased our production levels to reflect this but there will be a time lag for the production to actually catch up with the sales of DermElast's best stretch mark cream. This may have a knock on effect with the rankings we have gained already in Amazon if we run out of stock, and therefore not be able to supply customers who would be looking to buy. A situation we really hope to avoid."
