Research investigates the link between hearing loss and rheumatoid arthritis. On the other hand, those who used the medication seven days a week experienced a 24 percent increased risk. The link between hearing loss and the use of analgesics seemed to be stronger in women who were younger than 50.

There were also studies that found the link between aspirin use and hearing loss. In a study from the Johns Hopkins Center on Aging and Health, it was found that cognitive decline was not only faster among individuals with hearing loss, but also those with hearing loss were more susceptible to developing cognitive decline.
