"With CEREC, a digital image of the tooth is taken, the crown is designed using computer-aided design or CAD, and the dental crown is created in the office itself."
This eliminates the time needed by a patient to get a permanent replacement for a missing tooth, and it also gives Dr. Klure complete control of the creation of the dental crown.
Digital imaging may also be used to help patients picture the potential results of restorative or cosmetic dentistry services.
