Some even require a full cycle of outpatient rehabilitation before counting as a 'failure.' If a patient uses again two weeks into outpatient care, it doesn't count as a failure, because he or she didn't complete the cycle."

In this way, the system is intrinsically flawed. Treatment centers should have a hand in the ultimate determination of necessary treatment."
