Diabetic mice were given a high-fat diet, in which 50 percent of fat came from fish oil, and daily injections of resolvin. The results of the study were compared to mice that are non-diabetic and healthy. It was found that the group that received treatment experienced an improvement in nerve health, and that resolvin had stimulated the growth of nerve cells.
