Researchers Release 61 Potential Health Benefits Of Omega-3 Fatty Acids

(Medical-NewsWire.com, September 21, 2015 ) Orlando, Florida -- An increasing number of people worldwide believe in the therapeutic benefits offered by a variety of natural ingredients such as fish oil. Fish oil contains healthy fats called omega-3 fatty acids that are believed to be helpful for preventing and fighting a variety of conditions. Its therapeutic effects have been widely studied by many scientists from around the world, and this is why many people are relying on the natural ingredient.

According to researchers at GreenMedInfo, the use of omega-3 fatty acids is associated with the improvements in a wide variety of conditions. The research suggests that omega-3 fatty acids have 61 potential health benefits for improving one's mental and physical health.

"Today, fish oil supplements are widely used to fight and reduce the symptoms of various diseases such as arthritis," said VitaBreeze Supplements spokesperson, Michelle O'Sullivan.

Omega-3 acids are believed to have the ability to fight inflammation-related ailments such as arthritis and cardiovascular diseases. Other benefits associated with taking fish oil are improvements or avoidance of bipolar disease, mania and depression. It is also believed to help improve lipid profiles, tubular dysfunction, and oxidative stress in individuals with IgA neuropathy. Some studies also revealed that it can help reduce cardiac deaths in individuals with myocardial infarction.

Distributing automated external defilbrillators (AEDs) and implanting cardioverter defilbrillators (ICDs) are among the most common ways to prevent sudden death nowadays. However, researchers found that increasing blood levels of omega-3 fats may potentially be 8 times effective than AEDs and 2 times more effective than ICDs. It was also found that intake of omega-3 fats is potentially helpful for reducing the likelihood of mortality and sudden death among individuals who already suffered from heart attacks.

The use of omega-3s on a daily and long-term basis has also been associated with a reduced risk of coronary heart disease, coronary calcium scores and the need for atrial fibrillation that follows after a coronary artery bypass surgery.

While further research is necessary, fish oil supplementation is suggested to be beneficial for conditions such as: ADHD, autism, diabetes, coronary heart disease, peripheral arterial disease, cystic fibrosis, Pseudomonas aeruginos infection, chronic hepatitis C, and systemic lupus erythmeatosus. There are other conditions that omega-3s are believed to be helpful for such as ischemic stroke, cognitive decline, hypertension, postpartum depression, dry eye syndrome, and many others.

Consumers are urged to eat fish regularly to obtain omega-3 fats. However, a large number of consumers worldwide are opting for supplements as a more convenient source of fatty acids (http://amazon.com/Omega-Fish-Oil-Supplement-Softgels/dp/B00O8NS20K/).
