It was found that the subjects who had high levels of inflammation were more likely to suffer from poor kidney function. Inflammation is believed to be a risk factor of renal dysfunction. Subjects with high blood pressure, diabetes, or high cholesterol were also found to be more prone to reduced kidney function.
