Customer review

(Medical-NewsWire.com, December 01, 2015 ) Exeter, Devon -- Anyone who has suffered from sore knees knows that fear of exacerbating the problem can lead to a reluctance to risk any form of intense physical activity. "Customers have taken the time to contact us and tell us that our knee brace has aided their recovery from knee surgery, or simply that it has helped reduce their knee pain. One gentleman mentioned that he's been wearing knee braces for any strenuous activity since an ACL problem 15 years ago. He found our brace particularly helpful as it kept the patella in place which alleviated the discomfort he got from running and climbing," said Nigel Manning, co-owner and Marketing Director. "As a result of having their knee cap properly supported, it has given our customers a much-needed confidence boost. Because customers get that feeling of support from the brace, it has helped them to continue doing whatever sporting activities they love."

Knee pain is a very common condition and increases steadily with age. The most common causes of knee pain are ligament strains and sprains, osteoarthritis, patello-femoral syndrome (anterior knee pain), overuse injuries such as bursitis and tendonitis, and Osgood-Schlatter disorder which is more commonly found in athletic adolescents.

The knee is one of the largest and most complex joints in the body, which makes it extremely vulnerable. It is the intersection for three bones: the femur or thigh bone, the tibia or shin bone, and the patella which is better known as the knee cap. The knee cap rests in a groove called the trochlea, where it can slide backwards and forwards. Four other tendons are also involved and attach the thigh bone to either the shin bone or the tibia and these additional tendons act to keep the leg aligned

Up-4-It.fit's knee brace is designed to provide comfort and support for knee pain incurred from sporting activities, and to help relieve post-surgery knee pain, strains and arthritis. Its neoprene construction helps improve blood circulation and soothes aching joints and muscles. The breathable inner liner allows the skin to breathe, keeping the user dry and comfortable. The open patella design keeps the knee cap in place thus relieving pain. The knee is further stabilized by 4 flexible lateral springs, two each side of the patella opening, which ensure the knee moves in a controlled manner. To ensure the correct level of support and compression, the brace is easily secured in place with three adjustable velcro straps.

"Customers report that one of the key benefits is that the knee brace stays in position over a vigorous workout because of its unique gel-like strip which prevents slippage. If you have sore, weak or injured knees, you can build your confidence up with our knee brace."
