Why you should not feed these foods to your cat?

(Medical-NewsWire.com, December 20, 2015 ) If you are one among those cat owners who really feed him as per his tastes and wishes, you need to rethink about it. This is because new studies have shown that certain foods that out cat loves can risk his life. Here are the list of foods to be avoided from cat's diet menu. This would really be surprising for you as well.

1. Dairy

Can a cat survive without milk? Yes, kittens do need milk but adult cats are lactose intolerant. Dairy products cause diarrhea and vomiting in adult cats. Diarrhea problems in cat be treated naturally with the help of BM Tone Up Gold supplements. Make sure you feed kittens with a combination of bread and milk.

2. Raw fish

Raw fish has many health benefits to cat and humans as well, but recent studies have shown that raw fish can cause hyperthyroidism in cats. Although there are natural measures to treat hyperthyroidism in cats, why would anyone put their pets in risk even after knowing the factor that causes hyperthyroidism? Raw fish is essentially toxic to cats. It contains thiaminase which breaks down into thiamine (an essential Vitamin B) that is safe for humans but causes convulsions and neurological problems in cats.

3. Chocolate

Don't feed your cat with chocolates, especially with dark chocolate, as it contains a compound called the obromine which in cats can lead to muscle tremors, arrythmia or seizures. Caffeine is also quite dangerous to cats as it can cause tremors and palpitations.

4. Garlic and onions

If your cat happens to consume garlic, then it will lead to some serious stomach issues for your kitty. This applies to onion, ramps, garlic, chives, scallions, leeks and shallots.

5. Tuna

A bowl of tuna can make your cat's day brighter than any other day. As tempting as it may be to open a can of tuna, researchers say that it should be completely avoided at all costs. Even a small amount of tuna can upset your cat's tummy. Prolonged feeling of tuna can cause a painful condition called stealitis.
