(Medical-NewsWire.com, December 22, 2015 ) Miami, FL -- The Miami Herald reports that Scott Weiland, former frontman for Stone Temple Pilots and singer for Velvet Revolver, died in his sleep on December 4, 2015. Weiland's lifelong struggle with bipolar disorder and substance abuse have been well-documented; his ex-wife has come out to publicly denounce those romanticizing his battle with addiction. While drugs have not yet been tied to the cardiac arrest which killed Weiland, cocaine was found on the tour bus where his body was discovered, resulting in the arrest of a friend. Former band members have come forth expressing their condolences for Scott Weiland's children, wife, and friends.
