Concept2Commerce Recently Shared An Article About How Fish Oil Saved A Boy's Life

(Medical-NewsWire.com, April 15, 2016 ) Truro, Cornwall -- Concept2Commerce recently shared an article entitled "How Fish oil Saved My Son". The article the company shared was originally published by a very highly respected news group CNN. The article is about a young boy named Bobby Ghassemi who was left comatose after a car accident. The doctors said that Bobby surviving the accident is a miracle.Their main concern was would he ever come out of the coma.

Ten days after Bobby was brought to the hospital there was no changes. He was stable but is still in a coma. Peter Ghassemi was sick of waiting and desperate for intervention called his friends for help and he ended up talking to an army colonel and doctor named Lewis. He suggested a treatment for traumatic brain injuries which was fish oil.

Fish oil -- which is composed of omega-3 essential fatty acids, also found in the brain -- had been used only once before to treat a brain injury as devastating as Ghassemi's. That was in 2006, in the case of Randal McCloy, the sole survivor of a mine disaster in West Virginia.

The theory is to use omega-3 fatty acids to rebuild the brain of what it was made from. According to Lewis the human brain, which itself is a fatty mass, is about 30% composed of omega-3 fatty acids. High doses of omega-3 fatty acids, since they mirror what is already in the brain, could facilitate the brain's own natural healing process.

Ghassemi woke up from being comatose for two weeks after getting a high-dose fish oil therapy everyday. Bobby Ghassemi still had significant left-side weakness and is relearning how to walk, but the progress has been tremendous.
