Uvea consists of pigmented and non pigmented tissues which are present in the middle layer of the eye. The uvea is also known as uveal tract. The uveal tract is important for eye nutrition and for reduction of glare of light which enters into the eye through absorption of the light. In addition, uvea also helps in aqueous humour generation and eye lens protection. The uvea consists of choroid, iris and ciliary bodies. Blurred vision, eye pain, redness of eye, dark floating spot in vision and sensitivity to light are some of the symptoms for the uveitis.
