(EMAILWIRE.COM, March 31, 2012 ) London, UK -- A survey undertaken by dog magazine, K9 Magazine, has discovered that more and more dog owners are struggling to cope with their dogs suffering from skin conditions, moulting coats and itchy skin as a result of the temperature changing so often. Their bodies regulate to one temperature, then have to change to another fairly quickly, leaving dog owners unsure what to do - or how to cope.
The effects of extra heating to the dogs vary but typically owners worry that going from warm to cold creates itchy, irritable and flaky skin (dog shampoo for itchy skin has seen a huge rise in searches in recent weeks).
Charles Vincent, associate publisher of K9 Magazine commented on the findings saying, "Dog owners are taking to the web much more trying to find solutions to their dog's problems as a result of changing seasons, and dramatic weather changes within short periods of time. It shows how much we love our dogs here, but also that we recognise they can't solve the problems for themselves. It's very much up to us to try and find solutions for them and we'll try however many methods needed to try and find long terms solutions."
