New Study Shows E-Cigarettes have no known negative effects on heart health reports SneakyReviews.com

(Medical-NewsWire.com, September 11, 2012 ) San Francisco, CA - Many heavy smokers who are finding ways to bring an end to this habit, have decided to opt for electronic cigarettes. A recent clinical study revealed that these alternate cigarettes do not pose any harm to the heart.

This research, carried out in Greece, revealed further the following information.

These cigarettes comprise of metal tubes that convert liquid with a hint of nicotine to plain smoke. This device is powered by a battery and has no adverse effects on the heart, as observed.

However, on a different note, Dr Konstantinos Farsalinos from Athens stated that: “Electronics cigarettes are not advisable, but still better than the normal cigarettes.” He mentioned this at the yearly meeting of the European Society of Cardiology.

Keeping in mind that smoking has many disadvantages and deteriorates health, it should be avoided. But, it could be replaced with electronic cigarettes because they pose lesser risks and might actually be neutral in their use.

Dr. Farsalinos furthered explained this experiment by observing the effect that normal cigarettes have on a sample of 20 people, and observed the same effects on 22 people for electronic cigarettes. This experiment lasted for around seven minutes.

It was noticed after this period that those who smoked normal cigarettes have a large rise in blood pressure and heart rate, whereas those who used an Ecigarette did not depict these symptoms.

Another similar research finding shortly before revealed that electronic cigarettes didn’t hamper lung function.

Other doctors who recently gathered at a meeting in Munich were not ready to give electronic cigarettes the label as being completely safe. It was also noted that Greek doctors said further studies need to be taken up to find out more.
