(EMAILWIRE.COM, November 25, 2008 ) SANYO Commercial Solutions, Biomedical Division has developed the ECONO Plus™ Series, the newest edition to our ultralow freezer product line. The MDF-U7386SC and MDF-U5386SC are an ideal preservation choice for end-users in search of great performance, economical cost value and energy efficiency. SANYO is committed to bringing the best temperature uniformity and core performance features you expect at the best cost possible for today’s changing economic landscape. The ECONO Plus™ Series provide integrated storage solutions and long term preservation of biologics, reagents, specimens, components and testing.
ECONO Plus™ ultra-low temperature freezers maintain internal temperatures as low as -86°C (-123°F) and both models utilize SANYO’s uniquely designed compressors. Available in 17.1 cu.ft. and 23.5 cu.ft capacities, they are ideally suited for use in laboratories and hospitals.
The newly developed refrigeration system and sound abatement
feature minimizes intrusive operating noise. They are manufactured with foamed-in-place insulation which achieves 10% higher energy conservation than competing models.
Additional advanced features include a microprocessor temperature control system with digital temperature display, a platinum resistance sensor for extra precision and reliability, a power failure warning system with built-in audible and visible indicators, double insulation polyurethane walls and easy open and close hinged outer door latch. Two independent insulated inner doors ensure maximum temperature uniformity at all shelf levels. A full alarm system also comes standard.
Test results (based on internal performance data) demonstrated that SANYO ultralow freezers reduced operational costs through higher volume efficiency than competitive units. Testing concluded that the SANYO MDF-U7386SC and significantly better on total annual CO2 emissions per box capacity than a leading competitive unit and 11% on total annual operating costs for heating and cooling per box capacity and overall power consumption than a leading competitor.
