Power3 Medical Products Inc. (OCT: PWRM) engages in commercializing intellectual properties (IPs) in the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), AlzheimerÂ’s disease and ParkinsonÂ’s disease. PWRMÂ’s research platform is centered on the study of proteomics, the science of protein interactions within living cells. The Company identifies biomarkers (patterns of proteins associated with disease) and applies them to screening, diagnostics and drug targets.

Under the restructured management, the Company implemented a new strategy focusing on commercialization of its IP assets, with less emphasis on research and development. As part of its new focus and to preserve cash and reduce operating costs, PWRM reduced the amount of space it occupied and implemented a reduction in its workforce.
“The Company announced on August 20, 2009, that it made significant advances in the technology for its BC-SeraPro™ serum protein based blood test.
