Through its website and personal consultation, The Grove Center for the Arts will provide leadership development tools, curriculum, and downloadable resources to encourage artist gatherings for professional, spiritual and personal growth.The Creative Edge Artist Network began in 2006 in Southern California to give artists the opportunity to meet other artists from all artistic disciplines; to receive prayer, encouragement, inspiration and Christian fellowship; to network with other artists, worship pastors and ministry leaders; and to present creative material to other artists. In 2006, they sponsored nine different events at a variety of locations in Southern California. Due to the success of these events and their desire to assist artists in their spiritual and professional growth, The Grove Center for the Arts decided it was time to expand the Creative Edge Artist Network nationally. Executive director, Joey O’Connor, stated, “We are very excited to expand the work the work begun here in Southern California to help artists across the nation. We have even received requests for more information from Uganda and South Africa. We are eager to see the Creative Edge Artist Network develop wherever artists to ready to serve their churches and local communities.” The Grove Center for the Arts has already received calls to expand The Creative Edge Artist Network into Texas, North Dakota, Oregon, Michigan, Minnesota, Florida, Missouri, Los Angeles, North Carolina, Iowa and Colorado. As these affiliates meet, their ideas and experiences will be shared with other artists around the country via The Grove Center for the Arts website.
