Street NW and is followed at 7:30pm by dinner, awards and entertainment.Celebrating 66 years of service to military personnel and their families, the USO is honoring an enlisted hero representing each branch of the armed forces. Deputy Secretary of Defense Gordon England will receive the “Spirit of the USO” award. Additionally, David Wilson will be named the first “USO Volunteer of the Year.” A strong supporter of the U.S. military, Ortiz recently went on a USO tour of Iraq where he visited with troops on bases across the region. “I learned more than ever before how real this war is.
