According to reports, Medicine and Healthcare Products Regularity Agency (MHRA), the watchdog of Britain’s medication, cancelled the license of Jack3D in order to ensure the safety of users and those potentially looking to use it. It was found that the supplement contains the toxic substance DMAA which is linked with high blood pressure, stroke, headache, vomiting and even death.
Considering that the sports supplement can seriously affect a human body, the regularity agency of medicine in the UK has not only banned the product, but has also warned the public to take restraining actions against shops who continue to supply the product.
'If we find a shop selling it we will send them a written reminder asking them to remove it from their shelves. If they ignore this then our enforcement officers will move in and begin legal action.” a spokesman from MHRA said, according to dailymail.co.uk. “It is the most popular sports supplement in the UK because it is a stimulant that allows you to work out for longer,”
Although Jack3D was available in fitness stores around Britain, the supplement is mainly bought over the internet. The authorities for health care are planning to take serious steps to completely halt production of the sports supplement in Great Britain for the protection of their people.
Manager of MHRA’s Medicine Borderline section, David Carter, said that it is very important for people to be aware of the sport supplements they use in order to avoid any harmful effect of the product.
