(Medical-NewsWire.com, September 14, 2012 ) San Francisco, CA - Sanford health officials are traveling to Africa in order to attend a medical conference in Ghana. This could set the stage for further improvement and expansion in the medical sector inside Africa.
The health network of Dakotas suggested that they are in the process of expansion and plan to open 10 clinics throughout the Atlantic coast of Ghana by 2016.
Executive vice president of Development and Research, Ruth Krystopolski, says they aren’t sure what their next move is. “Our goal is to replicate that ... in other developing nations.” said Krystopolski. “We’ve looked at other countries in Africa. We haven’t made any decisions on where to go next.”
Sanford will be representing Krystopolski’s views at the conference with the Global Independence Center in Accra.
Kyrstopolski will be speaking in the conference, as she is one of the four members of Sanford. Other members who will be joining her are; Legal counsel member Dave Link, Freedom Forum President Annette White and Sanford Children’s international board member Jack Marsh.
A Pennsylvania based nonprofit agency, the Global Independence Center that works for uniting nations for the purpose of discussing trade, food, water and health care issues will also be joining the Sanford crew. It is said that both organizations have a high moral and they both see this joint effort as one of the first steps of the several together.
Executive director at Global Independence Center, Ben Craig, added,
“We’ve been working with Sanford to build sustainable health care models.”
